Ok then, thanks guys. I should consider this an indirect skill then. I just didn't want to waste time training something that wasn't needed. But I do plan on using the higher-end mining tools. I'll finish training this skill then. Thanks again.

How does this skill effect mining and refining? I read the description and it says someonething about mineral research speed. However, it was a recommended skill to have in the miner's guide. Is this skill needed to have a "perfect" miner?
